About The Position

Engineering Interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business. Our intern program seeks to help you develop an understanding of the aerospace industry and learn about our company and its operations. This position is classified as Onsite, meaning employees will work primarily onsite. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

Requirements

Enrolled in a degree program in computer engineering and or computer science and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Experience creating software with common programming languages (C#, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, Rust, R, SQL, and or FORTRAN).
Experience with O365 Tools, Visio, MS Teams, and Visual Studios.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with teammates, stakeholders, and management.
Some experience with Agile/Scrum principles
Some experience using GitHub to manage software versioning.
Some experience using ZenHub to manage software tasks.
Strong writing skills to aid in the creation of method memos, release notes, software design documents, user manuals, and software requirement documents.
