This internship focuses on applying computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts to software development for target applications. Interns will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and to define operational performance requirements and overall system design. The role involves supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment. Responsibilities also include developing software test procedures, programs, and documentation, utilizing modeling tools for data establishment and experimental testing, and participating in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair defects. Interns will gain experience with various software languages and platforms, including C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, Qt on Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and embedded real-time operating systems (VxWorks, Linux, QNX, Integrity, Windows CE, and others for Motorola, Intel, TI, and custom processor designs).
