About The Position

Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Engineers for a summer 2027 internship with its Space sector in Boulder, Colorado. The intern will join the Software and Controls Engineering team. The internship offers opportunities to learn new skills, explore the enterprise, network with experts and thought leaders, and receive training and professional development. Candidates must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027, and remain enrolled full-time in Fall 2027. The position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance and program special access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company; U.S. citizenship is required. Hourly intern pay ranges are $26.75–$33.50 for bachelor’s students and $38.00–$41.00 for master’s students. Internship pay is standardized based on anticipated graduation date, geographic labor costs, and whether the internship is technical or administrative. The posting also gives a general primary-level salary range of $24.25–$41.00 per hour. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus.

Requirements

Must be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university, and be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
Must be majoring in a STEM field: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or Physics.
Must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and program special access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company.
U.S. citizenship is required.
