Software Engineering Intern, Backend

AiDASH, Inc.•Palo Alto, CA
•Hybrid

About The Position

AiDASH is hiring two Backend Software Engineering Interns to help build backend systems supporting the growth of its satellite- and AI-powered products for electric utilities. This is a hands-on engineering internship in Palo Alto, California, where interns own scoped backend work intended for production and receive day-to-day mentorship from a senior engineer, including code review and design collaboration. Strong performers may be considered for a full-time return offer. The role will contribute to products that may reach more customers following AiDASH’s pending acquisition by Schneider Electric. Interns will design, build, and test backend services and APIs using Java or Python, take a scoped project from design through production, and work with data pipelines processing satellite, sensor, and operational data. They will write clean, tested, and documented code, participate in reviews, use AI coding tools thoughtfully, debug across services, collaborate with engineers, and present their work at the end of the internship. The position is hybrid and based in Palo Alto; the posting specifies an office attendance requirement of “[X] days per week.”
