Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field with a 3.0+ GPA
  • 4+ years of relevant software testing experience (2+ with a Master’s degree)
  • Demonstrated experience in automated software testing on complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Strong programming skills in C#/.NET, C, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby
  • Proven ability to implement automated software testing solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to leadership and government customers
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Automated UI testing experience and familiarity with UI testing tools
  • Knowledge of industry standards (IEEE 12207, CMMI, MIL-STD-882e, DO-178C/DO-278, RMF)
  • Experience with containerization, CI/CD, and microservices
  • Understanding of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)
  • Agile Scrum Master experience
  • Experience with guidance and control algorithms, navigation, mission planning systems, and sensors
  • Familiarity with MBSE, SysML, and MATLAB/Simulink code testing
  • Hardware-software integration and software systems engineering knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test plans for diverse software products, including mission planning tools and simulation systems
  • Develop robust, scalable automated test infrastructures and frameworks to ensure software quality and reliability
  • Perform integration and formal qualification testing of software products; support fielding, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
  • Analyze software requirements and hardware compatibility to inform test strategy and solution design
  • Review, edit, and generate technical documentation to industry standards
  • Mentor junior test engineers and provide technical guidance to team members
  • Collaborate closely with developers, project teams, and leadership to drive product quality and process improvements
  • Influence solution design and best practices through proactive communication
