About The Position

Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Serves as senior level developer to multiple State Street initiatives. Analyzes, designs, and develops software applications to support these initiatives. Controls and/or provides solutions to single and/or multiple organizations, with minimal management guidance. Hybrid remote telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other related field
  • 10 years of experience in any occupation/title providing progressive IT experience
  • Proven ability to work in a team of agile developers
  • Demonstrated ability to provide agile status notes on day to day project tasks
  • Demonstrated experience working on complex deadline driven projects with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to design/develop with minimum requirements by effectively coordinating activities between business analysts, scrum leads, developers and managers
  • Proven strong ability in the following technologies as a design lead: PL/SQL, Perl, Scripting languages and other open source technologies
  • Demonstrated solid ability with SWIFT message flows MT-527, MT-558, MT-596, MT-54X and MT20X
  • Proven end-to-end understanding of software architecture, design, development and implementation
  • Proven experience with continuous integration and build process, test automation and deployment
  • Proven strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience writing and reviewing technology documents including user guides

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications to project schedule
  • Creates technical project plans and deliverables and monitors task deadlines
  • Provides technical subject matter expertise in reviewing, analyzing, and resolving complex issues
  • Responsible for resolution, communication, and escalation of critical technical issues
  • Prepares user and systems documentation as needed
  • Identifies and recommends Industry best practices
