About The Position

As a Software Engineering Manager in the Hyperscale Line of Business team at Everpure, you will lead a high-performing engineering organization dedicated to delivering enterprise-grade, high-performance object and block storage products. You will play a pivotal role in redefining how the world consumes storage infrastructure through an AI-driven, multi-cloud fabric. In this role, you will act as both a technical catalyst and a servant leader—overseeing the architecture and development of clean, robust, and highly scalable microservices while providing deep mentorship to foster a culture of engineering excellence and quality-first innovation. Collaborating closely with Product Management, Architecture, and customer-facing teams, you will bridge the gap between long-term business strategy and high-impact technical execution to scale our global platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Management Experience: 3+ years managing software engineering teams with 8+ years total in software development.
  • Distributed Systems & Cloud Native Expertise: Deep technical proficiency in architecting and shipping large-scale enterprise software. Strong familiarity with Golang (preferred), object/block storage protocols, microservices architectures, distributed systems, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Operational Command: Demonstrated mastery of lean/agile software development, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and balancing high feature velocity with rigorous enterprise quality.
  • Customer & Business Focus: Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders—from Product Management to customer beta partners—to shape production-ready software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and Scale High-Performing Teams: Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering talent—from strategic hiring and onboarding to cultivating an environment grounded in psychological safety, accountability, and rapid innovation.
  • Champion Professional Growth: Elevate the organization’s collective capability by mentoring senior and staff-level engineers, guiding career trajectories, and setting high standards for modern software engineering practices.
  • Direct Technical Strategy: Oversee the architectural health and resilience of HLoB core data services—including cloud mobility, high-availability distributed object/block systems, and cloud-native microservices designed to scale across thousands of nodes.
  • Cultivate Quality & Innovation: Foster a culture that prioritizes design elegance, code reviews, unit/functional automation, continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD), and rapid issue resolution across unit testing, system integration, and live customer deployments.
  • Innovate: Encourage hands-on experimentation with emerging technologies to push the state of the art in high-level object/block storage architectures and distributed systems.
  • Drive Predictable Delivery: Manage high-impact release roadmaps by optimizing agile workflows and proactively balancing rapid feature velocity against technical debt, security, and enterprise stability.
  • Bridge Strategy & Execution: Serve as the primary conduit between Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering—translating complex enterprise customer requirements and beta-partner feedback into actionable technical milestones.
  • Debugging & Operational Command: Guide teams through complex, ambiguous root-cause investigations at scale across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
