About The Position

PathAI is seeking intellectually curious and driven engineering students for software engineering co-op positions from September to December 2026. The MLOps team builds and scales the machine learning infrastructure that powers PathAI's enterprise AI systems in research and production. This includes working with cloud infrastructure (AWS and on-prem), Kubernetes, distributed systems, and observability. The team emphasizes reliability, reproducibility, and speed, ensuring that all shipped software is dependable, well-tested, and easy for other engineers to build upon. As a co-op, you will gain a broad, hands-on introduction to ML automation.

Requirements

• Previous employer experience (internship, volunteer work, or other employment).
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 50% of the degree program completed.
• Insatiable intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in a complex space.
• Team player, willing to do the work no matter how big or small.
• Passionate about their work.

Responsibilities

• Solve interesting problems with code.
• Build new features for internal users, and refactor existing ones to make them better.
• Interface directly with team members of all levels.
• Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to solve problems in sustainable ways.
• Collaborate with machine learning and infrastructure teams.
• Drive and uphold high engineering standards, bringing consistency to the codebases you encounter and ensuring software is adequately reviewed, tested, and integrated.
• Learn and share knowledge with others along the way.
