About The Position

Ameriprise Financial, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer in Minneapolis, MN. This role involves designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software delivered on time and within budget. The engineer will collaborate with customers, business analysts, technology, and project teams to understand business requirements, drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions aligned with business and technology strategies, and ensure compliance with organizational architectural standards. The position also includes providing technical guidance to the development team throughout the full software life cycle and writing code that adheres to established standards, procedures, and techniques, while maintaining the integrity of existing program logic according to specifications. Remote work is permitted one day per week.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
5 years of progressively responsible experience working with SAS administration, Python, Pyspark, PowerShell.
Experience with major relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL.
Experience in developing applications targeting a major cloud service such as AWS, Azure and GCP.
Knowledge of development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, SQL Server Management Studio.
Knowledge of CICD/automation tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
