About The Position

Applied Materials is seeking a 2027 summer Software Engineer intern pursuing a bachelor’s degree. The intern will design, prototype, and develop software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices of limited complexity. The role also includes creating software documentation and test procedures, troubleshooting software problems, and communicating with internal customers to understand project requirements. The position is based in Santa Clara, California, and includes travel of 10% of the time. Relocation is available.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as computer science, information management, software or systems engineering, cybersecurity, or mathematics.
• Familiarity with the basic theories and concepts of software engineering.
• Proficiency in C/C++, .NET, and C#.
