About The Position

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is hiring a Software Engineer for its Buyercloud (formerly Beeswax) Ad Serving team. The Ad Serving system is the backbone of the Buyercloud platform: it processes billions of ad auctions each day, determines which customers should participate, and executes complex bidding strategies in milliseconds. The role focuses on building and scaling software that supports advertising campaigns and operates reliably at massive scale. The engineer will design data-driven and model-driven customer features, scale distributed applications and infrastructure, optimize algorithms and architectures to reduce cloud hosting costs, and improve observability. The position includes participating in on-call rotations, serving as an escalation contact for incidents, and writing system documentation and operational guides. The role requires effective collaboration with teammates in multiple remote locations and time zones. It is based onsite four days per week in Englewood, Colorado, and may require nights, weekends, and variable schedules.
