Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Location: National Capital Region (NCR) or San Antonio, TX Nightwing is seeking Software Engineer that supports the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software systems for mission-critical offensive cyber operations. This position applies software engineering principles and SAFe Agile methodologies to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. The engineer works within cross-functional teams to implement features that meet technical, functional, and security requirements throughout the software lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of software development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent substitution)
  • Proficiency in one or more languages: Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing
  • Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Polygraph
  • Must be U.S. citizen
  • Must be located in NCR or San Antonio area

Responsibilities

  • Develop software features according to user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Implement automated unit and integration tests (80% coverage minimum)
  • Participate in code reviews and pair programming
  • Support DevSecOps pipeline implementation and maintenance
  • Develop microservices using containerization technologies
  • Integrate with Government platform services and APIs
  • Participate in all team-level SAFe ceremonies
  • Support troubleshooting and production issue resolution
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge transfer
