About The Position

Temper is building an agentic integration platform for the real economy. We use specialized AI agents to handle the full lifecycle of data exchange between companies, from gathering requirements in plain English to generating code, testing, deploying, and maintaining integrations in production. Our agents can even fix issues autonomously. We have paying enterprise customers and are experiencing high demand. This is a seed-funded startup with over $8M raised, and we are looking for early team members to join us in San Francisco.

Requirements

Shipped real things end-to-end, multiple times, and owned them.
Comfortable coding with AI agents and knowing what's worth shipping.
Strong technical opinions and willingness to change them based on evidence.
Ability to move independently.
Desire to do the best work of your career.
Experience with TypeScript, React, Bun, Effect-TS, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, AWS.
Ability to pick up new things fast.

Nice To Haves

Experience with agent orchestration across multiple specialized agents coordinating complex workflows.
Experience with platform engineering, creating a runtime for integrations.
Experience with building and maintaining production systems at scale.

Responsibilities

Own core systems end-to-end: agent platform, infrastructure, integrations runtime.
Set the engineering patterns for future hires.
Work directly with the founders.
Ship to production constantly.
Contribute to important technical decisions.
Build systems that handle multiple AI agents in parallel.
Develop self-healing systems that detect and recover from failures autonomously.
Contribute to a knowledge base of undocumented systems.
