About the role: You will be working in our Austin, TX location responsible for designing, developing, testing, performance tuning, enhancing, maintaining, and documenting internal and external software that complies with project plans and industry standards. This role is a permanent, direct hire that involves working full-time, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and reside in Austin, TX. C2C will not be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer, .NET Developer, or in a similar role.
  • Experience in building scalable backend applications using C# and .NET.
  • Experience developing APIs, designing data access layers, and working with relational databases such as SQL Server.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and backend application architecture.
  • Technical skills: C#, ASP.NET, VB.Net, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, T-SQL, XML, .Net (Standard & Core), MVC, Web API, and ORM (Dapper or Entity Framework).
  • Web services: SOA, REST, and SOAP.
  • Web technologies: AJAX and JSON.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with React.
  • Experience with ORM or micro-ORM frameworks (such as Entity Framework or Dapper).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills: Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects / assignments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and exhibit a reasonable sense of urgency.

  • Reliable: Able to work during our regular business hours in our Austin location. Punctual individual and able to follow an assigned work schedule. Able to maintain client confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full lifecycle software development
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Document and maintain software functionality
  • Document requirements and specifications
  • Tailor and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics
  • Serve as a subject matter expert
  • Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards
