About The Position
Tele-Consultants, Inc. (TCI) is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in support of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT). The primary location for performance of the work will be in Newport, RI with occasional travel required within the continental United States. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science from an accredited university
- 3+ years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks
- Proficient in Linux, more specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Proficient in C++, especially GUI development
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation
Responsibilities
- Provide Software Lab build support, may require hand carrying of equipment and cable connections to set up for testing
- Modify and maintain existing applications
- Develop user interfaces
- Integrate new hardware/radios into RDT&E tasking to include integrating different radios into government software
- Assist with documenting software changes, test procedures, and test reports
- Attend technical meetings as needed
