About The Position

This position is hybrid working 3 days a week from our Legacy West Support Center located in Plano Texas. At SBH, our purpose is to inspire a more colorful, confident, and welcoming world. We are the leader in professional hair color, selling and distributing professional beauty supplies across 11 countries through our Sally Beauty and Beauty Systems Group businesses. Sally Beauty offers products for hair color, hair care, nails, and skin care to retail customers looking for salon-quality products at a value price. Beauty Systems Group, branded as Cosmo Prof or Armstrong McCall stores, along with its direct sales consultants, sell professionally branded products intended for use and resale by salons to retail consumers. This is a hybrid position working from our Legacy West Support Center in Plano, Texas. Sally Beauty Holdings runs the following Blue Yonder systems to drive its merchandising/planning/inventory functions, PMM, SCPO and CATMAN. The person will have a good knowledge and experience working with Blue Yonder enterprise systems(PMM/CATMAN/SCPO) . The individual will work in a team responsible for Solution Design and Delivery that will include deployment of new functionality or changes to existing processes to meet the changing needs of our business. The individual will have a good understanding of technical architecture, database architecture and data flows and will be a proven mentor who is able to work effectively cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams, and will quickly develop an advanced understanding of business requirements and how technology fits those needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and proficiency in PL-SQL,ORACLE, unix shell scripting is a must.
• Advanced SQL skills are essential. You must be able to write complex queries for data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• 2+ years working in a Retail/Omni channel environment.
• 2+ years’ functional design and technical design experience with large-scale applications specifically Blue Yonder Merchandising and Planning systems.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Good understanding of integration patterns, concepts and best practices.
• Proven ability to work effectively and produce consistent results with a minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to effectively mentor less experienced team members on design, data mapping, programming and testing techniques.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, decision making, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, is self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail oriented.
• Good understanding of corporate IT policies, procedures and standards.
• Willingness to take the first steps to inspire others to follow and deep dive into new domains.
• Optimistic and generally curious about areas impacted by new systems, new processes, and customer behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Ability to translate "business talk" into clear, actionable requirements in Jira or a requirements document.
• Work alongside senior developers to design and build custom enhancements within the BY suite of products to meet unique business needs.
• Solid understanding of data or how to analyze data to understand existing system behavior
• Provides technical expertise in establishing specific coding standards, patterns, and procedures.
• Assist in the development of conceptual systems architecture design and supporting technologies needed to enable new and enhanced functionality within the Blue Yonder suite of applications.
• Identifies technical dependencies across several product and application teams to support the implementation of new or enhanced functionality.
• Collaborates with partners to decompose solution blueprints and designs into detailed technical requirements.
• Collaborates with Solution Architects, Product management, and delivery teams to reconcile user needs and requirements within given engineering constraints.
• Identifies high-level requirements to support the definition and refinement of a robust testing strategy, and supports the planning and execution of functional and non-functional testing activities (performance, fail-over, etc.).
• Supports release planning activities.
• Act as a technical first-responder for priority production issues, performing deep-dive troubleshooting.
