Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on development with Java and the Spring Framework
- Experience with Spring Boot, RESTful web services, and enterprise application development
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, application debugging, and common software design principles
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with automated testing, Git, Bamboo, and CI/CD practices
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD concepts
- Ability to complete assigned tasks, seek guidance when needed, and work collaboratively within a team
- Exposure to PCF or another cloud application platform
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain application features using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Build and enhance REST APIs and integrate with existing services
- Translate business and technical requirements into maintainable solutions with guidance from senior developers and technical leads
- Write automated unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot application issues
- Investigate defects, diagnose application issues, and implement fixes
- Create technical documentation, design diagrams, and API specifications
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA engineers, and development partners to clarify requirements and deliver quality software
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate progress, dependencies, and blockers
- Support deployments and production troubleshooting with guidance from the team
- Learn and apply team standards for secure coding, testing, and maintainable software development
