About The Position
The Software Engineer helps power the technology behind the Topgolf guest experience, building backend services in Go and front-end applications in Vue.js that support our venues and digital products. This role works across the stack, from writing clear specs through API design and user interface implementation, using AI-assisted development practices to deliver reliable, well-tested features as part of a collaborative engineering team.
Requirements
- 3+ Years - Professional software engineering experience
- 2+ Years - Building backend services in Go
- 2+ Years - Building front-end applications with Vue.js
- 1+ Years - Working with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) in a professional setting
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go
- Build and maintain responsive, user-facing features and components using Vue.js
- Define and implement API contracts (REST and/or event-driven interfaces) between front-end and backend services
- Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability across the stack
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with product, design, QA, and other engineers to uphold engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, contributing to logging, monitoring, and alerting practices
- Practice spec-driven development, writing clear technical specs and design docs to guide implementation before writing code
- Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate implementation, testing, and code review while maintaining code quality
