About The Position

An outstanding opportunity with an established defense contractor that is looking for motivated and results oriented individuals to grow with the company! BSEt, a subsidiary of Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX), an Alaska Native Corporation, is currently recruiting for the position of Software Engineer. This position is located in San Diego, CA, and is a full time, on-site position. This position will report directly to the government Project Lead for daily operations. TDX was created under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971 to provide economic well-being for the indigenous Aleut people who resided in the village of St. Paul, Alaska at the time of the act’s passage by Congress as well as their descendants. JOB SUMMARY: The software engineer for the US Navy PMW 130, NAVWAR will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions for the Navy’s cybersecurity program office. You will work with a team of engineers and analysts to support the implementation of a fully integrated architecture that provides confidentiality, integrity, and availability of capabilities through innovative acquisition of maritime cybersecurity products. The software engineer is expected to be familiar with a wide range of software development tools and methodologies. Responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment. This includes designing software solutions, writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, testing, and debugging software applications, and ensuring that they meet the organization's needs.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C++, or C#.
  • Experience with software development tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Knowledge and understanding of serverless architecture and building/deployment of scalable and distributed applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Familiarity with software testing and debugging techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • IAT Level II certification is required, minimum Security+ CE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in software development and cybersecurity
  • Must be adept at problem solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to the task lead and lab manager
  • This level is intended to coincide with DoD 8570.01M IAT/IAM/IASAE Level II, must comply with the associated qualification and certification requirements.
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • prefer a Top-Secret clearance.

  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
  • Test and debug software applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and software development trends to recommend improvements and upgrades to existing software applications.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation, including user manuals and technical documentation.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of software projects to ensure successful delivery.
