Leidos Defense is seeking a Software Engineer to join a highly talented team within the RF Systems Portfolio in Huntsville, AL. This portfolio supports radar design, hardware builds, algorithm development, software development, hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing, and weapons system analysis across a diverse range of research, development, and operational programs. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited institution with a 3.0 GPA or higher plus 4-8 years’ experience in software development or engineering.
Strong understanding of: Object-oriented design, Data structures, Network communications.
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced technical environment.
Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret clearance or have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville–North Alabama region.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software using Agile methodologies.
Develop tactical software for Leidos Dynetics radar systems.
Create modeling, simulation, and analysis toolsets supporting: Algorithm development, Requirements development, System testing, Prototype radar system development.
Test, analyze, and debug complex software systems across multiple architectures and operating systems.
Collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting advanced RF and radar technologies.
