About The Position

Direct Supply is seeking a Software Engineer to build and enhance scalable applications that improve customer experiences and support its technology solutions. The role applies modern software engineering practices, AI capabilities, and automation to create reliable, secure, and efficient products that address business problems. Working with cross-functional teams, the Software Engineer contributes to web, mobile, and server-based solutions and explores practical ways to integrate AI into applications and development workflows. The work is intended to accelerate innovation, improve development efficiency, and deliver measurable value to customers and Partners.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
1–3 years of software engineering experience developing, testing, and maintaining applications.
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (Node.js/React), C#, and MVC frameworks.
Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications using open-source models or APIs such as Hugging Face, OpenAI, or Anthropic.
Experience designing and consuming APIs, working with databases, and developing applications using modern software engineering practices.
Familiarity with Microsoft development tools, including Visual Studio or VS Code, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Ability to apply Agile development practices, Git version control, and testing approaches.
Ability to analyze technical problems, learn emerging technologies, and collaborate across teams on practical solutions that meet business and customer needs.

Responsibilities

Develop secure, scalable web, mobile, and server-based applications that deliver reliable functionality and improve customer experiences.
Build and integrate AI-powered features, including conversational assistants, intelligent automation, and image-based capabilities.
Design and implement APIs and microservices for reliable data exchange and integration across applications and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on AI-enabled solutions that simplify customer interactions and improve operational efficiency.
Use AI-assisted development tools and automation to improve coding efficiency, accelerate testing, and maintain software quality.
Monitor application performance, reliability, and AI-generated outputs to identify issues and support continuous improvement.
Prototype and test features and AI capabilities to evaluate feasibility, usability, and business value.
Troubleshoot application defects and technical issues to improve system stability, performance, and user satisfaction.
Implement software testing, security, and development standards to maintain code quality and reduce operational risk.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical improvements to application functionality and development productivity.
