About The Position

Lilly’s Software Product Engineering team is seeking a full stack engineer to develop reusable, composable software components for its next-generation platform ecosystem. The role covers the software lifecycle from design and requirements through implementation, testing, deployment, and integration. The engineer will help improve maintainability and ensure products meet business and patient needs, contributing to better patient experiences and treatment outcomes. The team is adopting AI throughout the development lifecycle. The engineer will use AI coding tools while maintaining responsibility for the correctness, security, and maintainability of shipped work, and may build AI capabilities such as LLM-powered features and agent tools. The role also involves working with cloud platforms, modern application architectures, regulatory and quality-system expectations, and cross-functional partners. The position is based in San Francisco, California, with a hybrid work model. Lilly describes Tech @ Lilly as using technology to advance its purpose of creating medicines that make life better, and its Software Product Engineering organization as building foundational software platforms to support patients digitally.
