About The Position

KKR’s Investment Technology group builds and operates systems for the investment lifecycle, connecting data, people, and insights across Private Equity, Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Capital Markets. The group develops shared, data-driven platforms to replace fragmented legacy tools and improve efficiency, transparency, and investment outcomes.

As a Lead Engineer, you will be a senior hands-on technical leader responsible for coordinating cross-functional execution and delivering larger, more complex initiatives. You will bring architectural understanding and delivery leadership to help teams execute effectively through ambiguity. The role uses AWS (EKS, RDS, Aurora), Python (FastAPI), React, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kestra for job scheduling, PySpark for ETL and the Medallion model, and AI-assisted development tools across the software development lifecycle.

The expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position is $150,000–$190,000 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience, and qualifications. Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building enterprise-grade software solutions.
• Extensive experience delivering complex, multi-component systems.
• Strong architectural intuition and execution discipline.
• Ability to lead technical delivery through ambiguity.
• Proven track record of mentorship and technical influence.
• Strong sense of ownership for outcomes and system health.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
