About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer at Nokia, you will contribute to software development, using Go and distributed-systems expertise to design and implement robust solutions. You will work with a team on API design and Kubernetes internals to build high-performance, scalable systems and help advance Nokia’s technology stack. The role includes designing and developing a massively distributed edge-compute platform, developing microservices, collaborating across teams, reviewing code, troubleshooting software issues, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to planning, testing, optimization, and documentation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with a strong academic background.
At least 4 years of software development experience, including a proven track record in Go development and distributed systems.
Proficiency in software design patterns and best practices, with a focus on clean, modular, and scalable code.
Expertise in API design, versioning, and customer portal interactions.
In-depth understanding of and experience with Kubernetes internals, including resource management, deployment strategies, and containerization.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure and their integration with software solutions.
Experience with agile development methodologies and fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Passion for software development and commitment to keeping up with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

Design and develop a massively distributed edge-compute platform for high availability and fault tolerance.
