About The Position

I2X Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer to support ongoing customer activities in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The position is on-site and requires an active DoD Final Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at the start. The engineer will analyze real-world data as part of an Agile Scrum team and develop and complete features and stories aligned with program objectives. Depending on the successful applicant’s skills, work may include collecting and interpreting data, developing algorithms to use it effectively, and updating existing algorithms as new data becomes available. The role supports analysis and prediction of ballistic missile threats. It requires a strong analysis background, including experience characterizing large-scale, complex system simulations involving ballistic missile threats, weapon systems, and command-and-control architectures. Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices—including system design, development, testing, and evaluation—is also required, as is a strong foundation in mathematics and physics and experience using tools such as MATLAB to analyze complex data.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of related experience; a post-secondary degree or certifications in a related discipline may be held.
  • DoD Final Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at the start of employment.
  • Strong analysis background encompassing a broad range of disciplines to filter data and predict future ballistic missile threat states.
  • Experience in performance analysis and characterization of large-scale, complex system simulations involving ballistic missile threats, weapon systems, and command-and-control architectures.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices, including system design, development, testing, and evaluation as applied to ballistic missile systems and associated command-and-control systems.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and physics.
  • Experience using tools such as MATLAB to support complex data analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Data analytics skills, including the ability to collect, analyze, and filter large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform predictions of future ballistic missile threat states.
  • Experience analyzing and characterizing ballistic missile threats, including threat systems, tactics, techniques, and procedures, and predicting future threat states based on trends and patterns.
  • Deep understanding of the technical disciplines underlying ballistic missile threat analysis and prediction, including integrating and analyzing data from diverse sources to inform predictive models and simulations.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum and continuous integration methodologies.
  • Experience with scenario generation to support analysis and testing of missile defense systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze real-world data as part of an Agile Scrum team.
  • Develop and complete features and stories mapped to program objectives.
  • Collect and interpret real-world data.
  • Develop algorithms to effectively use data.
  • Update existing algorithms based on new data.
  • Analyze and characterize large-scale, complex system simulations focused on ballistic missile threats, weapon systems, and command-and-control architectures.
  • Support analysis and prediction of future ballistic missile threat states.
