About The Position

The Software Engineer will build full-stack AI systems for hospitality operations and guest communication as part of a small team with end-to-end product ownership. This is an agent-reliability role involving real conversations, messy data, and third-party APIs that may fail during a workflow. The engineer will own retrieval, tool orchestration, response generation, and production reliability, spanning the model-routing layer through infrastructure.

• Proven track record of shipping production systems that real users depend on.
• Full-stack comfort and ability to take on whatever the problem requires.
• Deep understanding of reliable retrieval pipelines.
• Pragmatic approach to choosing models, including frontier, fine-tuned, or simpler models as appropriate.
• Strong evaluation discipline, including measuring impact on real conversations before shipping.
• Experience in which one's work directly shapes the product.

Responsibilities

• Design and build response-generation pipelines, including routers, orchestrators, and synthesizers that classify intent, assemble context, select tools, and determine whether to respond or escalate.
• Develop knowledge retrieval that grounds responses in accurate, complete, and current data despite messy inputs.
• Build tool-orchestration layers that execute multi-step workflows reliably and handle API failures gracefully during conversations.
• Create evaluation frameworks that measure quality against real conversations and detect regressions before they reach customers.
• Implement observability and tracing that make agent reasoning understandable to non-technical support teams.
• Design no-code controls that allow support leads to adjust agent behavior.
• Extend the system to voice, including real-time transcription and text-equivalent tool-use capabilities.
• Optimize speed and cost through model routing, caching, and prompt refinement.
• Own infrastructure, data pipelines, integrations, and API work.
