Software Engineer with active Top Secret (US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)

About The Position
As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems. Your work will directly contribute to the success and innovation of the program.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance (US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)
- Proficiency in Python and Java
- Strong understanding of API design, testing, development, and management
- Knowledge of DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code
- Experience with AWS (AWS Solutions Architect preferred), Azure is a plus
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of security best practices, risk, compliance, vulnerability management, encryption, PKI, incident response, auditing, and monitoring
- Strong ability to work effectively with development, operations, and security teams
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in generating documentation and sharing knowledge
- Experience with prompt engineering and AI tools to accelerate workloads
- CI/CD and Development Tools: GitLab, Nexus Managed Artifacts, Ansible, Terragrunt, ArgoCD, VS Code, Maven
- Cloud and Containerization Tools: AWS: EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, EBS/EFS, VPC, DNS, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Kubernetes, Docker
- Security, Monitoring, and Logging Tools: ACAS/Grype vulnerability scanning, SIEM (Splunk), Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
- Version Control and Collaboration Tools: Git, Jira, Confluence
- Proven ability to execute the software development process
- Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies creatively
- Collaborative team player with a knack for technical leadership
- Up-to-date with technology trends and enthusiastic about championing new ideas and process improvements
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and your team
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
- Requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
