Senior Advanced Software Engineer 2 with ACTIVE Secret PREFERRED (US Citizenship REQUIRED)
About The Position
GeoLogics is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ with remote options. This position can be fully remote/telework, fully on-site, or Hybrid. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field, and 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience is preferred. The engineer will be responsible for executing the software development process, applying technical standards and methodologies creatively, and collaborating with team members. They should be up-to-date with technology trends, enthusiastic about championing new ideas, and committed to professional development. The role also involves identifying opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Python / Java programming languages.
- Understanding of DevOps principles: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile methodology and its best practice.
- Security knowledge: Familiarity with security best practices, risk, compliance & vulnerability management, encryption & PKI, incident response, auditing and monitoring.
- Proficiency and strong knowledge in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Linux/UNIX, YAML, and JSON.
- Experience with AWS (AWS Solutions Architect strongly preferred) and its services (including fundamental AWS networking).
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of API Design, testing, development and management.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with development team members, operations, and security teams.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Well versed in generating documentation and sharing important knowledge.
- Well versed in prompt engineering and utilizing popular AI tools to accelerate workload.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
- Requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
Nice To Haves
- Active Secret clearance preferred.
- Top Secret clearance preferred.
- Obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
- Knowing Azure is a plus.
- Event streaming platform (Kafka messaging) is a nice to have.
- Agile experience preferred.
