About The Position

Amentum Advanced Solutions, a performance unit of our Engineering & Technology (E&T) Line of Business, specializes in the design, construction, and operation of unique and complex research and development facilities. These facilities include wind tunnels, rocket test stands, climatic chambers, jet engine test cells, acoustic chambers, altitude test facilities, captive trajectory systems, and nuclear facilities, serving markets such as automotive, motorsports, defense, nuclear, and aerospace. Our clients include major companies and government agencies across North America, Europe, and Asia. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade software applications, implementing AI/ML data pipelines and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems for mission-critical workflows, and ensuring all deliverables meet DOE compliance, security standards, and operational requirements. Collaboration with security, infrastructure, and cross-functional teams is essential to support national security and customer objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other Engineering Field with AI hands on experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development (.NET, Python, React/Blazor)
  • Proven experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with AI/ML integration, RAG systems, and data pipeline engineering (ETL, NiFi, Spark)
  • Familiarity with secure/regulated environments (DOE compliance, IP whitelisting, secret management, audit-ready logging)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software applications.
  • Implement AI/ML data pipelines and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems for mission-critical workflows.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet DOE compliance, security standards, and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and cross-functional teams to support national security and customer objectives.
  • Designing full-stack applications, implementing CQRS, REST APIs, Blazor/React frontends, unit testing.
  • Containerization, CI/CD pipeline management, performance optimization, local first deployment, AWS/Azure integration.
  • Building RAG systems, ETL pipelines, data ingestion for ML models, spend tracking, OSINT integration.
  • Implementing hardened security controls, DOE/agency compliance, SSM secret management, log sanitization, audit readiness.
  • Working with security/infra teams, Agile workflows, technical documentation, code reviews.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, support production debugging/incident response, and assist in onboarding or mentoring junior engineers as needed.
