Travel to Office expectations For Remote Roles: If this role is remote, there will be in-office events that will require travel to and from the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office. These will include, but not limited to, onboarding, team events, semi-annual and annual team meetings. For Hybrid Roles: If this role is Hybrid, there will be an expectation to reside within commutable distance to the office/location specified in the job listing. This will include, but not limited to, weekly/bi-weekly/monthly events in the office with your specific team. This is a requirement for this role. About the Team: When working with the team, you will be responsible for processing and transforming healthcare data, converting incoming messages into formats that can be integrated with other systems. You will help maintain a rules-based engine that analyzes these messages to identify relevant patterns and triggers. Additionally, you will support the notification system that sends alerts based on rule matches, as well as manage systems for user administration and patient information tracking. Your role will be crucial in ensuring efficient data flow, accurate patient records, and reliable notifications to enhance overall healthcare operations. About the Role: In this position, you will oversee the end-to-end software development process, including gathering and refining requirements in partnership with business teams. You will write and optimize code, focusing on delivering high-performance, maintainable applications. Automating workflows, troubleshooting issues, and conducting thorough testing are key responsibilities to ensure product quality and functionality. Working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, you will contribute to ongoing product enhancements while staying current with evolving technologies. Additionally, you'll foster a collaborative environment by reviewing and providing feedback on team members' work.

Requirements

  • Excellent organization, critical-thinking and personal leadership skills
  • Experience writing clean code that performs well at scale using Java
  • Experience with Microservice Architecture
  • Solid experience writing RESTful API endpoints
  • Self-starter with the ability to deliver with minimal supervision
  • Team player with a passion for mentoring others in a professional setting

Nice To Haves

  • Generative AI Code Assistants - Use of Generative AI Code Assistants (e.g. Github Copilot) and knowledge of latest Generative AI Model capabilities would be an asset
  • Experience using system and performance monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
  • Experience with Angular
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline
