Software Engineer

Microsoft•Redmond, WA

About The Position

The Software Engineer will join Microsoft’s Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) Validation team, which develops and operates validation platforms, automation frameworks, telemetry systems, and AI-powered engineering solutions for Windows servicing releases, including monthly security fixes. The team helps engineering organizations identify regressions, assess release quality, reduce deployment risk, and make release-readiness decisions through trusted validation signals, actionable insights, scalable automation, and responsible use of AI. The role contributes to software, cloud services, automation systems, and AI-enabled solutions that improve validation effectiveness, engineering productivity, and the quality of monthly Windows security releases. Working with experienced engineers, validation specialists, and cross-functional partners, the engineer designs, implements, tests, deploys, and maintains platforms and workflows used to assess release readiness and security-fix quality across consumer, enterprise, cloud, and OEM environments. Contributions help improve validation efficiency, accelerate issue detection, and strengthen confidence in secure, reliable Windows updates.
