About The Position

With strong product-market fit and rapid adoption across partner practices, we’re accelerating the growth of our U.S. engineering team. You’ll join at a meaningful inflection point with the ability to influence architecture, product direction, and engineering culture as we reshape how patients pay for care. We’re looking for ownership-minded engineers to contribute to major systems across multiple products as we scale our platform, and support our expansion into more practices and healthcare verticals. Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with graduation expected before your start date.
  • Strong programming fundamentals and experience building software through internships, coursework, research, personal projects, or other hands-on experience.
  • Curiosity across the stack and an eagerness to learn modern frameworks, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and how production systems operate.
  • A generalist mindset: you’re excited to tackle unfamiliar problems, learn quickly, and contribute wherever you can have the most impact.
  • Thrives in ambiguous and fast-paced environments with a strong willingness to push yourself and grow.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. This includes the ability to maintain regular morning collaboration windows with teammates in Europe.

Nice To Haves

  • Internship experience at an early-stage startup
  • Familiarity with one or more technologies in our stack, such as React, TypeScript, Node.js, Kotlin, Postgres, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, or Temporal.
  • Exposure to building or integrating APIs, internal tools, dashboards, workflow automations, or other software used by real users.
  • Side projects, open-source contributions, hackathons, research, or other examples of software you’ve built outside of the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship end-to-end software that brings Cherry into more practices, as well as help launch new products beyond patient financing.
  • Work across the stack (from frontend and backend to integrations and infrastructure) and contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
  • Build and improve observability, monitoring, and metrics that make our products safer, faster, and more reliable for practices and patients.
  • Collaborate with product, design, data, and operations to rapidly deliver high-impact features and experiment toward measurable outcomes.
