About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and operation of ANSWERLAKE, a backend system that provides compliant storage and access for analytic results and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that support enterprise outcomes. Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features Debug existing software and correct defects Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

Requirements

  • A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong grasp of Kubernetes networking, configuration, and deployment across secure environments.
  • Proven ability to support compliance-driven sustainment activities with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with both technical team members and mission stakeholders.
  • Solid documentation and tracking skills using enterprise tools.
  • Experience working with ISSO/ISSE on SSP documentation.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving security and mission needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Salt, and Ansible.
  • Familiarity with Rancher, Helm, and advanced Kubernetes features.
  • Working knowledge of observability tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Grafana.
  • Security+ (CWIP) or equivalent certification preferred.
