About The Position

Autodesk is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team. This role involves researching, designing, and developing computer and network software, including specialized utility programs. The engineer will analyze user needs and develop software solutions using principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Responsibilities include updating and enhancing existing software, designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting new and existing components to meet business, quality, and operational requirements. The role also involves building high-quality code with unit testing and test-driven development, participating in code and document reviews, and mentoring team members on best practices. Collaboration with peer organizations, DevOps, and Support teams on technical issues is expected, along with interpreting business needs into technical requirements and estimates. The engineer will evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for optimal quality and performance, troubleshoot code-level problems, and apply technical expertise to resolve complex programming and design challenges, focusing on scalability, security, and availability. Development and deployment of applications in pipelines are key, as is leading teams, understanding business requirements, and mentoring. The position requires availability for projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States, with telecommuting permitted.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.
Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Utilize knowledge of Programming languages React, NODE.Js, AWS, JavaScript, and Web Services to develop reactive web applications that facilitate e-commerce domain.
Utilize knowledge of Automation Frameworks and Fullstack end-to-end business flow to reduce testing timelines and ensure quality product delivery.
Utilize knowledge of coding to build front-end and back-end applications using React Js, Redux for state management and Node Js for the server-less development.
Utilize the knowledge of data structures and algorithms to perform code reviews and provide suggestions about optimal code.
Utilize knowledge of Jenkins to deploy code to various environments such as staging and production.
Utilize knowledge of testing frameworks such as cypress, jest and mocha to write unit and functional tests to automate testing efforts and delivery of a quality product.
Utilize knowledge of SDLC to avoid development bottlenecks and reduce development timelines.
Utilize knowledge of Jest, Cypress, selenium frameworks to test the UI components of the applications and ensure application compatibility across devices.
Utilize business process knowledge to prepare documentation, process flow diagram, data flow diagram, entity relationship diagrams to help peers understand business systems.
Utilize knowledge of API design skills to create interconnected tools, applications and micro-servers across multiple platforms for increased interaction and connectivity.
