About The Position

The Associate Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains software solutions that support Broadridge's products and platforms. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, this role contributes to the full software development lifecycle by building high-quality, scalable applications while applying software engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms, including multithreading and socket programming.
  • Experience designing and developing high-quality software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing enterprise-scale, distributed software applications.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and distributed architectures.
  • Knowledge of Agile or other software development methodologies.
  • Experience working with global or offshore development teams.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and software development.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain high-quality software applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established development standards.
  • Plan and complete assigned development tasks while meeting project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and problem-solving activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and software engineering best practices.
