About The Position

Responsible for developing software for simulator systems. Application areas include real time simulation; simulation of aircraft systems, navigation, aircraft dynamics; simulator interoperability; simulation software integration with OEM software; simulator software system design; computer systems and information security. Intermediate Level; continuing development level. Performs more varied and difficult aspects of the job; may need guidance on job duties; apply learning to recommend options to address unusual situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics or other applicable technical field; and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of related experience in software engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support our Display Management System (DMS) C# .NET application, which creates seamless, immersive, multi-display visual experiences for pilots in flight simulators.
  • Tackle a wide range of challenges involving display system measurement, algorithm development, and embedded device control.
  • Incorporate product improvements into the DMS application.
  • Gain hands-on experience with a variety of hardware including state-of-the-art projectors, cameras, spectrometers, and night vision goggles.
  • Work on projects spanning image and signal processing, machine vision, process control, automation, and interface design.
  • Apply knowledge from optics, vision science, and photography, in addition to traditional software fundamentals.
  • Participate in all facets of software development from requirements assessment, design, development, testing, integration, peer review, documentation, maintenance, and end user support.
