About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking an experienced full-stack developer to develop software and systems from initial vision through production. The role involves applying modern architectural approaches, tools, and technologies to help clients address challenging problems, while accounting for the current architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. The successful candidate will work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complete solutions.

Candidates selected for the role will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet U.S. government client eligibility requirements. Candidates must also complete Booz Allen’s required skills assessment and meet its minimum proficiency threshold to continue in the hiring process. The hiring process includes identity verification using biometrics and AI; candidates are expected to be on camera during interviews and assessments. Use of AI or other tools to assist with interview responses is prohibited unless explicitly permitted.

The projected annual compensation range is $86,800 to $198,000. Salary depends on factors including location, education, skills, competencies, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements. The posting is expected to close within 90 days of its posting date.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methods and Python.
• At least 5 years of software development experience with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks.
• Experience writing hardware drivers; integrating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware; creating test benches; performing regression testing; visualizing sensor data; and developing UI/UX with Python and external frameworks via REST API.
• Experience with Agile methodology, software engineering, product management, and software products.
• Experience with full-stack development, including back-end and front-end development.
• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree, or at least 9 years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must complete the required skills assessment and meet the minimum proficiency threshold to continue in the hiring process.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of experience with client-server architecture and cloud development to expand fielded solutions as standalone devices and networked edge nodes.
• Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.
• Experience with Java, Python, C#, C, C++, .NET, JavaScript, NodeJS, PHP, Drupal, or React.
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance.
• DHS Suitability.
• Master’s degree.
