About The Position

Core4ce is seeking a Software Engineer (SETA) to support our Springfield, VA team. The ideal candidate can work independently, assess policy and organizational direction, and deliver clear analysis through white papers, briefings, and other products. This position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth.

Requirements

  • 13+ years with a MA/MS or 15+ years with a BA/BS in a relevant discipline.
  • Active TS/SCI.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in Systems architecture decisions and design.
  • Strong experience in Requirements analysis and management.
  • Strong experience in Integration and testing methodologies.
  • Strong experience in Configuration management.
  • Strong experience in Implementing common core technologies.
  • Strong experience in Developing, analyzing and validating requirements.
  • Strong experience in Technical direction and documentation.
  • Strong experience in Deploying containers to cloud environments using OpenShift environment and ISSO processes and requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Hardware/software interfaces.
  • Strong knowledge of Networking fundamentals.
  • Strong knowledge of Programming languages such as Python, Java, GitLab, AI/LLM/RAG integration, SPARQL, and RDF/OWL.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/scrum, backlog leadership, ISSO.
  • Strong knowledge of Basic formal ontology frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Development of knowledge models or data graphs.
  • Strong knowledge of Development of CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze policy and provide timely written and verbal recommendations.
  • Evaluate research performance metrics and collaborate with scientific teams.
  • Coordinate test and evaluation activities, including training materials and test plans.
  • Support the transition of research into operational environments.
  • Work with IC and DoD partners on research initiatives.
  • Prepare and present technical briefings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead and own ongoing analytic tool and semantic infrastructure development across two critical environments.
  • Plan, track, and report progress on complex technical projects; coordinate technical meetings and working groups.
