About The Position

PURVIS Systems is a technology solutions partner that develops, implements, and maintains mission-critical solutions for federal and local government agencies. PURVIS is seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join its technical team. The engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions supporting government clients, working collaboratively to contribute to technology solutions.

The role involves software programming and application support, participation in software testing and certification, and compliance with applicable quality and security procedures. The position may also involve using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Effective customer- and organizational-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Linux and C++.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications.
• Support and/or install software applications and operating systems.
• Participate in testing through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and software certification.
• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments, as needed.
• Comply with applicable quality and security procedures in the performance of duties.
