About The Position

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of advanced aerospace and defense systems, including radar and electronic warfare technologies. In this role, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers across multiple disciplines to design, code, integrate, and maintain real‑time embedded software used in critical airborne platforms. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
Completed or planned coursework or equivalent knowledge/experience in the following areas: Programming in C and/or C++, Calculus for Engineers and Scientists
Proficient with general purpose computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Previous Software related co-op / internship experience
Completed or planned coursework or equivalent knowledge/experience in following areas: Real-Time Embedded programming, Software Engineering / Software life cycle, Agile/Lean development techniques, Software Integration, Assembly language, Signal Processing, Algorithmic Fundamentals

Responsibilities

Take direction from software leads and other engineering authorities in support of the radar systems and/or self-protection software development.
Support the software team with the requirements, design, coding, build process, data analysis, and tools maintenance in their specific program area on a variety of software development environments and platforms.
Collaborate with systems, firmware and electrical aerospace engineers to work on real-time embedded software, tactical airborne systems software such as used in Airborne Radar Systems, Radar Warning Receivers, Decoys, Jammers, and integrated Electronic Warfare Suites.
