About The Position
The team is in search of an experienced Software Engineer to design, build, and operate highly scalable distributed systems and cloud-native applications. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong Java and distributed computing experience, hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and containerization, and practical familiarity with AWS cloud services. This is a critical bridge role using expertise in distributed computing and containerization to move the platform beyond JAVA/JVM, creating a secure environment where AI/ML models can be trained and deployed at scale. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads is essential, as is experience with Docker/containerization and deploying applications in containerized environments. Practical familiarity with AWS and cloud computing concepts is also required.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph
- Twenty (20) years of Systems Engineering experience on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity, with demonstrated expertise in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution; in lieu of a degree, an additional five (5) years of relevant Systems Engineering experience may be substituted
- Strong Java and distributed computing experience
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and containerization
- Practical familiarity with AWS cloud services
- Experience with Docker/containerization
