As part of Walmart Global Tech’s Enterprise Business Systems, the team collaborates closely with product, business, and UX partners to deliver measurable business value. Emphasizing scalable, secure, and maintainable software design, the team fosters continuous improvement and operational excellence to support Walmart’s mission of helping customers save money and live better.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and documentation-based coding practices.
  • Strong experience delivering scoped features or models through collaborative engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages including JavaScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, or C++.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct code reviews, debugging, and continuous development with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML integration and generative AI tools to enhance software solutions.
  • Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software aligned with platform standards.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to technical ownership, quality, and continuous improvement in software delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

  • Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency.
  • Participate in solution design, conduct code reviews, and apply best practices for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
  • Monitor application performance, support defect resolution, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
