About The Position

As a Software Engineer at Starbucks, you’ll help deliver high-quality, reliable, and stable technologies and security capabilities that enable teams to build, release, and operate software with confidence. You’ll support critical engineering capabilities through installation, configuration, monitoring, analysis, maintenance, and technical support while modeling Starbucks guiding principles. The role is onsite four days a week.

Requirements

• 0–4 years of professional industry experience with software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years in systems or network administration or systems engineering, plus hands-on production support involving monitoring or telemetry, troubleshooting, and incident response; 24x7 or on-call experience is a plus.
• 1+ years coding or scripting for automation in Python, Java, Go, or C/C++; Ruby and Perl are also welcome. Strong debugging skills.
• Experience with AWS or Azure and exposure to CI/CD or build/release tooling and automation.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems, TCP/IP networking (DNS and routing), and databases or data stores (SQL/NoSQL).

Responsibilities

• Support development teams, resolve developer issues, and engineer build and release processes to enable fast, reliable delivery.
• Implement service monitoring and deep telemetry, provide high-availability operational support, and automate solutions across the environment.
• Implement technologies aligned to information security principles, maintain secure configurations and baselines, and uphold applicable policies and regulatory requirements.
