Software Engineer
About The Position
Hyve Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven Software Engineer with strong communication skills and a strong work ethic. The role supports a challenging, fast-paced environment, ensuring customers’ build requirements are understood and communicated, responding appropriately to feedback, and managing and executing predefined processes. The Software Engineer designs and develops network test automation solutions using Python and automates the provisioning, configuration management, and validation of network devices. The role uses REST APIs, Docker, and microservices to support automation testing; collaborates with Network Engineering, DevOps, and Test Engineering on manufacturing processes; and troubleshoots automation issues and optimizes performance.
Requirements
- BS/MS+ in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing manufacturing test automation solutions.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with automation on networking devices.
- Understanding of hardware development and the manufacturing process for data center products.
- Strong background in network test automation.
- Demonstrated small- or large-team leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication and organization skills, a logical approach to problem-solving, good time management, and task prioritization skills.

- Understanding how microservices, such as API creation, work.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop network test automation solutions using Python.
