About The Position

T and T Consulting Services is seeking a Software Engineer to provide support to the entire software development project team during the design, development, and testing phases. The role involves working with the project manager and development team to design, customize, develop, and support in-house developed, full-stack web applications and AI/ML systems. This includes utilizing modern full-stack frameworks and Python-based services for backend API development, as well as designing, developing, and deploying large language model (LLM) pipelines and Generative AI solutions. The position requires performing requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, testing, and maintenance, following AGILE development and SDLC best practices. The engineer will also provide scientific estimates, ensure quality and standards, support specialized AI/ML application development, provide release packaging and production support, and work on enhancements to existing software and AI systems. A key aspect of the role is to ensure comprehensive unit and functional test coverage, writing code with future proofing and re-usability in mind.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related fields; or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field with two years of related work experience.
Experience with Python and Typescript/JavaScript.
Experience with backend databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and NoSQL solutions.
Experience with modern full-stack frameworks including Next.js and React.
Experience with Python-based services for backend API development.
Experience in designing, developing, and deploying large language model (LLM) pipelines and Generative AI solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering.
Experience with requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, testing, and maintenance.
Knowledge of AGILE development and SDLC best practices.
Experience in providing release packaging, testing, maintenance, and production support.
Understanding of future proofing and re-usability of code.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the entire software development project team during the design, development, and testing phases.
Work with project manager and development team to design, customize, develop, and support in-house developed, full-stack web applications and AI/ML systems using a variety of languages and frameworks, primarily including Python and Typescript/JavaScript, with backend databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and NoSQL solutions.
Utilize modern full-stack frameworks including Next.js and React for frontend development, and Python-based services for backend API development, as part of the end-to-end development process.
Design, develop, and deploy large language model (LLM) pipelines and Generative AI solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering for real-world applications.
Perform requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, testing, and maintenance for application system components for software systems by following AGILE development and SDLC best practices.
Provide scientific estimates for the requirements and ensures quality and standards of programming and documentation, and functional business requirements and designs specifications for system development and implementation activities.
Support specialized AI/ML application development and customization, encompassing all activities necessary to design, develop, and deploy cloud-based intelligent systems that support business and research functions.
Provide release packaging, testing, maintenance, and production support on existing and newly developed web applications in a timely manner.
Work on enhancements of developed software and AI systems to reduce operational time, improve business efficiency, or increase model performance and reliability.
Take responsibility for comprehensive unit and functional test coverage to ensure code quality.
Write with future proofing and re-usability of code in mind and to be aware of the effects of certain coding practices.
