The Software Engineer will build intelligent, production-ready applications with machine learning at the core of the user experience. This role delivers well-scoped features and services with increasing independence, partners with senior engineers and data scientists on larger initiatives, and develops expertise in AI/ML and full-stack development. The engineer will build AI-powered full-stack features, productionize machine-learning models, create data pipelines, develop responsive frontend experiences, and maintain backend services and microservices. The role also involves code reviews and design discussions, troubleshooting production issues, and evaluating emerging AI/ML tools and techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience, including shipping and maintaining production code; ideally on AI/ML-enabled or data-intensive applications.
  • Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design fundamentals, applied to writing clean, testable code.
  • Working knowledge of core AI/ML concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, model evaluation, and production model deployment and serving.
  • Proficiency in Python or another backend language, with experience building and maintaining APIs and services; Python is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on professional web development experience with React, Angular, or a comparable framework, building user-facing features.
  • Working experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Problem-solving mindset and genuine curiosity about how AI can change the way software works.
  • Ability to demonstrate lawful ability to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Python ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and deploying ML workloads in the cloud.
  • Experience integrating LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) patterns into applications.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps tooling, including experiment tracking, model registries, and CI/CD for ML pipelines.
  • Experience taking an AI/ML application from prototype to production, professionally or through significant project work.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship AI-powered full-stack features, from model integration to user-facing interfaces, using modern frameworks and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Partner with data scientists to productionize ML models by wrapping them in APIs, implementing and tuning inference pipelines, and monitoring performance and reliability in live environments.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines for model training, validation, and deployment workflows, including data quality checks and basic observability.
  • Develop frontend experiences using React or a similar framework to present AI-driven insights in intuitive, responsive interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain backend services and microservices for model serving, data ingestion, and business logic.
  • Write well-tested, documented code and help troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborative design discussions, giving constructive feedback, incorporating feedback from senior engineers, and contributing perspectives.
  • Stay current with AI/ML developments and bring practical ideas to the team through evaluations, prototypes, or demos.

Benefits
