Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience using one or more programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python.
  • Experience developing cloud-native or distributed applications using Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and working with Linux-based development environments.
  • Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software development practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Kubernetes operators, controllers, networking, storage, or service mesh technologies.
  • Full-stack development experience using Angular, React, or similar web frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Helm, or Ansible.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a passion for building high-quality software using AI-assisted engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Build highly scalable cloud-native services that power Cisco Catalyst Center and help customers automate and simplify enterprise network operations.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain distributed applications using modern technologies including Kubernetes, Java, Go, and Python to deliver reliable and secure software.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and security teams to transform customer needs into innovative features while improving platform performance, scalability, and resiliency.
  • Contribute to AI-assisted engineering and automation practices that improve development velocity and software quality.
  • Delivering high-quality software, continuously improving engineering practices, and helping build a platform that manages some of the world's largest enterprise networks.
