About The Position

EverHealth is seeking a Software Engineer to focus on its EverHealth products. EverHealth is a technology platform that enables medical practices of all sizes to make care more informed, personalized, interactive, and adaptable. The platform has been used by thousands of physicians to provide care to millions of patients and can be tailored to various medical practices. The company is described as one of the most tech-forward healthcare players in the EHR industry, driven by the philosophy of "more time with patients, less time doing paperwork." The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing new features and functionality to maintain existing experiences and drive innovation for the solution and customers within the EverHealth software development team.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years of Experience
  • .NET ecosystem, including .NET, .NET Core, or .NET Framework using C# and/or VB.NET.
  • ASP.NET Core MVC application development.
  • LINQ for data querying and manipulation.
  • JavaScript and modern Single Page Application (SPA) frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) technologies, including Entity Framework and LINQ to SQL.
  • Designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Relational database development, preferably Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including: Complex stored procedures and functions, Query optimization and performance tuning, Database design and data access best practices.
  • Source control and CI/CD practices using Git, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
  • Search and caching technologies, such as OpenSearch.
  • Cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Agile software development methodologies and tools, including Scrum, Kanban, and JIRA.
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
  • 1+ Years of Experience with Modern AI-assisted software development tools, such as Claude Code and Cursor.
  • Applying AI tooling to improve developer productivity, code generation, debugging, and documentation.
  • General understanding of ANSI HIPAA electronic healthcare transactions, including 835, 837, 270, 271, and related transaction sets.
  • General understanding of Health Information Technology (HIT) concepts, standards, and healthcare software development practices.
  • General understanding of Unit testing methodologies and automated testing best practices.
  • Must be eligible to work without sponsorship.
  • May require travel to Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of software engineers and domain experts to design, develop, and deliver sophisticated software solutions.
  • Design and implement innovative, scalable, and resilient applications to solve complex business problems.
  • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues while supporting team members in problem-solving efforts.
  • Conduct code reviews and review pull requests to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Expand, maintain, and improve automated unit test coverage to ensure software reliability and quality.
