About The Position

Entarian is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team as part of the Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) system and software engineering support project which will support the United States Navy. This position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Requirements

  • Active US Top Secret level clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., engineering, mathematics, etc.)
  • Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in research, design and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs with a Master's degree, or minimum of 14 years' experience with a Bachelor's degree
  • Experience applying programming concepts and modern software development methodologies (agile, DevOps/DevSecOps)
  • 2 years of Kubernetes experience
  • DoD 8570/DoD 8140 compliance certification at Level II or Level III

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading secure, cloud-native software delivery for a Navy/DoD or other mission-critical system.
  • Deep practical experience with Kubernetes, microservices, RESTful services, CI/CD, automated testing, vulnerability remediation, and production troubleshooting.
  • Strong technical decision-making, mentoring, code-review, and communication skills across engineering and Government stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior software engineering leadership for research, design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of MFOM software and utilities.
  • Lead technical decomposition of complex requirements into implementable work, architecture-aligned designs, acceptance criteria, and testable increments.
  • Review code and designs, guide secure development and DevOps/DevSecOps practices, mentor engineers, and resolve difficult software defects or integration issues.
  • Coordinate with product/requirements, architecture, infrastructure, database, systems, and quality teams to maintain traceability and release readiness.
  • Support Kubernetes-based delivery and diagnose application behavior across distributed environments; communicate technical risks and recommendations.
