About The Position

Newfold Digital is seeking a Software Engineer with 3–5 years of professional experience to join its development team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions for the company’s web services and digital products, contributing throughout the software development lifecycle and supporting scalability, reliability, and performance. The position calls for hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, and backend development, along with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle.
• Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade Java applications using Spring Boot or other Java-based frameworks.
• Experience building applications with JavaScript, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
• A solid foundation in object-oriented programming (OOPS) and clean architecture principles.
• Expertise in designing and consuming secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Strong command of Oracle and MySQL, including database design, query optimization, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and operating applications on cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, and Azure.
• System design skills focused on scalability, high availability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to enterprise design patterns.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot and Cursor.
• Exposure to AI/ML integration.
• Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using Java, JavaScript, and JavaScript-based frameworks.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for web and enterprise applications.
• Design, query, and optimize Oracle and MySQL databases.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code that follows best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, QA, and DevOps.
• Participate in code reviews and help improve code quality and system performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and performance.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements.
